Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, is a fictional character from Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld, he first appeared in The New Mutants #98 in 1991. Wade Wilson is a former Special Forces operative who becomes a mercenary. After being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, he adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Known for his sarcastic humor, breaking the fourth wall, and unpredictable behavior, Deadpool is a unique anti-hero in the Marvel Universe. His adventures often blend action, comedy, and a touch of the absurd.
